Sauce of the Day: Ricotta and Cream Sauce

MMmmm. Cream, butter, and cheese. It’s a great way to use up leftover homemade ricotta cheese!

Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
pinch ground nutmeg
1/4 cup basil, chopped
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Mix and blend the ricotta cheese, cream, nutmeg and basil. Melt the butter and pour into the ricotta mixture, stirring until well blended. Pour sauce over pasta and toss. Serve garnished with Parmesan cheese.

Hmmm….in my fridge – ricotta (check) cream (check, check), butter (check, check, check). This one will be on this week’s agenda for sure! Thanks!
