12th Day of Christmas Giveaway: Kitchenaid Professional 6-Quart Stand Mixer (closed)

in Giveaways

On the 12th day of Christmas, there was something shiny.

KitchenAid Mixer Giveaway

Today is the final day of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways. Thanks for sharing everything with us, from your favorite Christmas cookie to your least favorite Christmas song. We saved the best for last: a KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer!

According to my grandmother, plenty of generations before mine survived without a Kitchenaid stand mixer. Apparently, they cooked and baked everything by hand, all while juggling 6 kids and a farm. Heh. Who knew? Say what you want, but there’s just no way I’m whisking anything by hand for 10 minutes. To me, the mixer is a total game-changer for any kitchen and we’ve got a shiny one to give away to one of you.

To enter the giveaway, answer this question in the comments below: What is your favorite holiday movie or TV show?

Mine? Christmas Vacation :)

Update: The winner is Kat with comment #426!

The fine print:
– Maximum of three comments per person. You can earn two extra entries by:
– Leaving a separate comment below that you follow us on Twitter.
– Leaving a separate comment below that you like us on Facebook.
– Giveaway ends at 11:59pm (Texas time!) tonight.
– Winner will be selected by one of those cold, soulless, unfeeling random number generator thingies and announced on this post tomorrow.
– Winner will receive a silver Kitchenaid Professional 6-Quart Stand Mixer (maximum total retail value of prize = $260).
– Prize must be claimed within 7 days or it will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
– Prize can only be shipped to a US address.
– Official giveaway rules can be found here.

Good luck!

I really love Elf. It makes me laugh every time even if I only catch snippets!

I still love Home Alone to this day! I have to make a point to watch that and Christmas Vacation leading up to Christmas :)

3 Kim December 15, 2011 at 10:21 pm

My favorite holiday film is The Family Man w/ Nick Cage and Téa Leoni. It is a bit similar to a Wonderful Life. I just love this film – the way that the movie tells a story about love and family in a modern light hearted way – I laugh and cry every time I watch.

I like a lot of holiday movies… may I choose my top 3? yes? why, thank you! My favorite holiday movie has got to be (in no favorite order)… #1. Home Alone (only the first one): growing up watching this, I knew anything was possible and that I could survive in this big, bad world. #2. ELF: from getting hit by yellow cabs, adding maple syrup to spaghetti, and sharing his Christmas cheer… I knew there was some good left in all of us. #3. Love Actually: You definitely feel that love is all around you, you just have to be able to accept it.

First of all, I absolutely love your site…always looking for unique recipes and ideas…and you never disappoint …so, thank you for that <3 There's a lot of really great holiday movies…classic White Christmas & Bells of St. Mary's with Bing Crosby can really never be overlooked…there's also alot of great ones to choose from currently…Home Alone never gets old,of course…Family Stone is fun but, always makes me cry…Polar Express,though..would have to be my new favorite…because to me…it's much more than just about a child still believing in Santa…it's about adults still just "believing"…I'll never stop hearing the jingle bells <3

Sally: “Dear Santa Claus, How have you been? Did you have a nice summer? How is your wife? I have been extra good this year, so I have a long list of presents that I want. Please note the size and color of each item, and send as many as possible. If it seems too complicated, make it easy on yourself: just send money. How about tens and twenties?”

You’ll shoot your eye out. This is the famous quote from the greatest Christmas movie ever. A Christmas Story. My family watches it all Christmas Day. It reminds me of the average Midwest family growing up. Didn’t take much to bring joy to their life. A big dinner on Christmas day. a gift and family Love. Happy with what life brought you even if it was a one legged lamp.
