1st Day of Christmas Giveaway: Envirosax Bags (Closed)

by Shawnda on December 1, 2011

in Giveaways

Envirosax (Origami)

It’s the 12 Days of Christmas giveaway! I’m really excited about the holidays this year. Our daughter is old enough to oooh and aaah over the Christmas lights and tree, a fun improvement over the indifferent drool factory that was last Christmas. Of course, she’s also big enough to throw ornaments across the room and knock the tree down. Good with the bad, I guess.

2011 has been a super fun, exciting year around these parts and we want to share some of that with you guys. After all, you guys were a big part of why this year was so fun! We’re opening this December by giving away some of our favorite and most used cooking & baking tools. Things that make cooking a little easier, baking a little more fun, and frankly some things hang around just because they’re cute.

It’s pretty straight-forward: 1 prize a day, 1 winner a day, 12 weekdays. Each giveaway will be open from 12:00am to 11:59pm (Texas time!) and a winner selected and notified the next day in an attempt to hopefully get all winners their swag by Christmas. So let’s get this show on the road!

On the 1st day of Christmas, there were reusable grocery bags!

If you’ve been around here very long, you know that one of my very, very favorite things are Envirosax bags. They’re practical. They’re environmentally friendly. And best of all, they’re super cute. (Because that’s what counts!)

To enter the giveaway, answer this question in the comments below: What is your favorite Christmas cookie?

(Or your favorite cookie if Christmas isn’t your thing.)

The cookie I’m most looking forward to is a chewy white chocolate-cranberry-walnut. The ingredients are available year round but I only ever seem to make them in December.

Congratulations to Lucky commenter #77, Amanda @ fake ginger!

The fine print:
- Maximum of three comments per person. You can earn two extra entries by:
– Leaving a separate comment below that you follow us on Twitter.
– Leaving a separate comment below that you like us on Facebook.
- Giveaway ends at 11:59pm (Texas time!) tonight.
- Winner will be selected by one of those cold, soulless, unfeeling random number generator thingies and announced on this post tomorrow.
- Winners will receive a set of Envirosax Reusable Bags in pattern Origami (maximum retail value of prize = $40).
- Prize must be claimed within 7 days or it will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
- Prize can only be shipped to a US address.
- Official giveaway rules can be found here.

Good luck!

Last is my great grandma’s old fashioned sour cream cookies. They are fluffy and yummy! Happy Christmas cookie baking!

My Mom makes (what we call) cherry thumbprints that are my absolute favorite. Although, really, if she’d just make the frosting and let me sit down with a spoon, I’d be a happy camper.

I don’t know if this counts as a cookie, but my grandma makes coconut-pecan bon bons every year. They’re always on the cookie plates at Christmas, so I consider them a cookie. And the only time we ever get them is Christmas-time, so they’re a great once-a-year treat.

385 Mandy December 1, 2011 at 1:12 pm

Oddly enough my favorite Christmas cookies aren’t really cookies at all. It’s just peanut butter sandwiched between two Ritz crackers and then dipped in melted chocolate. Sometimes we would drizzle white chocolate over the whole thing. Like you, we could make these anytime during the year but only seem to do it for Christmas parties. They’re simple but delicious!

(Thanks for hosting the giveaway!)

My favorite Christmas cookie is a thumbprint cookie that my step-mom introduced me to when I was little. She fills it with a homemade slightly-almond buttercream that makes my heart and mouth super happy! I’ve since passed my love onto my husband and I think they are his favorite too.

I’m looking forward to experimenting a bit this holiday season though with a strawberry sugar cookie. I love the envirosax – hope I win!
